This map isn't part of any series, but we have other Houston maps that you might want to check out.
This birdseye map of Houston [gmap] is a bit of a mystery. No indicators of authorship anywhere. It's masterfully done, and similar enough in style to several illustrators that it makes brooking a guess tempting, but I'll decline for now.
The illustrations at the bottom collar are well done and unique. The interior view idea just wasn't the done thing, in other maps of this type, but it looks great.

It has the style of Augustus Koch, see his 1873 map of Houston.
The old city cemetery near Dart St. has a very similar look to the cemeteries in the 1873 map.
Thanks, Steven, I definitely will give it a look when I get a second.
The map also has similarities (most notably, the sort of creepy cloud-shadows) with the Parsons & Atwater birdseyes. I can’t find a record of Koch working with P&A, but I can’t rule it out at all… P&A weren’t the most upfront about crediting their artists.
Thanks for looking, I’ll research more.
