Anyone got time to give me a rough sketch of what is going on, here?

















Great how the layout of each compound seems to reflect the stereotype character of respective nations: Germany has rigid rows of barracks housing, France a sprawling campus surrounding a church, the Dutch a formal garden, and Japan a private zen garden with trees and a lake. It seems Americans built our first embassy compound in the middle of a vacant lot.
Unless the blank spaces behind embassy walls reflect a lack of intelligence rather than a lack of American footprint, it doesn’t seem like Germany spent too much time gathering information on where our Wohn was Haused.
