This map isn't part of any series, but we have other maps of California that you might want to check out.
This map, prepared for the California Board of Trade by a Mr. E. Johnstone is, as billed, "unique". It's also quite handsome, all told? Is it in any way useful? No. Not really.
Even inasmuch as its use was a frivolous one to begin with -- to attract interest in the state itself -- I can't say that it even accomplished that much. But then again, I'm not very well-versed in what it was people wanted from such maps at the time.
