Pretty detailed survey, for the time. I can't think of too many other maps of the time period with this level of detail.
Slightly related: The Venus Flytrap grows naturally in only one (fairly small) part of the world. When you tell someone that, and ask them where they think that is, they'll almost never come anywhere close to the right answer... (seems like an Amazon jungle sort of thing, doesn't it?).
Well that one place (more accurately, "those few places") on the globe can be found on this map. I'll leave it to the more dedicated among you to fix its position with more specificity.
