This map is part of a series depicting the 40 largest cities in the United States (as ranked by CBSA). This series will run through the month of July.
Not sure exactly what's going on in this San Antonio, Texas [gmap] map, but it appears to be on a heavy Mexican-American War, Texas Republic, Sam Houston tip.
I went to a public school in the Midwest. We didn't get taught that stuff [or evolution. or sex-ed] so I'm plum ignorant. Enlighten me, if you have a second.
