Great 16th-Century map of the New World by Sebastian Munster.
We're up to some real "Here be dragons..." shit, here... Munster envisions cannibals hanging body parts from bushes in Brazil and has the Vikings on some "Fuck it... on to Polynesia!" trip.

















Actually, that’s just your standard sixteenth-century Iberian ship—it’s just pictured from an odd angle and missing a mast and a couple of sails. Here’s a picture of one of Magellan’s ships, taken from a map by Ortelius:
