This has exactly jack-shit to do with anything... but the Narnies just won the 2011 NLDS and we're all pretty stoked. Capping the greatest September comeback in the history of baseball, we just beat baseball's best team.
If this were any other city, or any other team, this would amount to a lame and spurious update to a map blog, but St Louis has a special relationship with this franchise... I'm comfortable with this double-standard.
It's not much, and it's not baseball-related, but here's a map.

Yet another map of my hometown's much-vaunted 1904 World's Fair.
You'll find several others on the site. I'd start with the (underutilized) "related maps" feature at the very bottom of this page.
For more map resources and imagery from this period in St Louis's history, check out the State Historical Society of Missouri's website.

Ah, 1904, when St. Louis became the first city to steal an Olympic Games from Chicago, preceding Rio De Janeiro by 112 years.
I’ll cop to some culpability, there. Apologies.
The greater theft, though, is probably the 17 National League pennants we’ve stolen from you.
(Oh… and Lou Brock. Sorry ’bout that one, too)
