Johann Homann's map of the ”Dominia Anglorum” (loose translation: “English domain” or “English Holdings”) in North America.
Depicted in the four frames are areas immediately around the British colonies in: Newfoundland [gmap] and Acadia [gmap] (Top Left), the upper-Atlantic seaboard centered on Plymouth [gmap] (Top Right), Chesapeake Bay [gmap] (Lower Left and curiously rotated ninety deg. CCW), and the Sea Islands area [gmap] off the coast of Georgia (Lower Right).

















I love this map, especially the portion covering New England. It’s really neat to see the town I work in (Ipswich, Massachusetts) listed on a map this old.
It’s also really funny how far off he is on the placement of Lake Champlain.
