Geologist Clarence Dutton illustrated this fantastic panorama of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone [gmap] plain-old regular Grand Canyon [gmap] in Arizona.

His vantage point for sketching this beautiful work was an outcropping named Point Sublime.

This image is of the Grand Canyon proper, not the one in Yellowstone. Point Sublime is on the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Dutton did a lot of work there.
