I know nothing about this map, but find it beautiful.

What does укръпленнаго exactly mean?
I couldn’t find the term in any online dictionary…

[WORDPRESS HASHCASH] The poster sent us ’0 which is not a hashcash value.
It means “fortified” (укрепленный). That letter isn’t a hard sign, it’s a ять, so it’s pronounced “е.”
The legend at right indicates gardens, buildings, vineyards, etc. I’m not actually sure where the troops are supposed to be, though.

This is a map of the 1865 blockade and capture of the city of Tashkent by forces under the command of General Mikhail Cherniaev–part of the Russian conquest of Central Asia.
